Children and Young People in Buckinghamshire

SAASSBMK provide a specialist service tailored to the needs of Children and Young People living in Buckinghamshire.

SASH is a partnership project providing support to children and young people who have experienced domestic abuse or sexual harm. This project brings together specialist and established services from SAASSBMK and SAFE!. With funding from Buckinghamshire Council, SASH is able to provide support to Children, and Young People aged 5 to 18 years by delivering a responsive, individually tailored specialist support service in Buckinghamshire to those who have been affected by rape, sexual assault, and domestic abuse.

SASH can provide;

1:1 Counselling (provided by SAASSBMK)
Up to 24 sessions of counselling delivered by qualified counsellors who are specialists in domestic and sexual abuse.

Project Work Support (provided by SAFE!)
Between 6 and 12 one to one sessions with a trained and experienced Project Worker, providing trauma-informed emotional and practical support.

DAY Programme (provided by SAFE!)
Peer support group following a multi-media psycho-education programme looking at healthy/unhealthy behaviours in relationships.

In addition, we also provide Parent/Carer Support (provided by SAFE!) where a Parent Support Worker can offer up to 6 one to one sessions who parents whose children have been referred or are eligible for support via SASH. This allows the parent to explore the impact of domestic abuse or sexual harm and provide them with skills to support their child.

Both SAASSBMK and SAFE! are passionate about the work they do and believe that children and young people deserve access to specialist support during vulnerable or troubled phases of their lives.
