About Us
We are a women-led Charitable Incorporated Organisation serving anyone in Buckinghamshire and Milton Keynes whose lives have been affected by rape, sexual and domestic abuse.
About Us
We have been providing advice, support and counselling to individuals in our community since 1995.
Our services are for survivors of all genders over the age of 5 that have been affected by rape, sexual and domestic abuse. We aim to empower and enable them to work with the trauma and suffering caused to them and their loved ones.
The individuals we work with are survivors of different kinds of rape, sexual and domestic abuse, including but not restricted to rape, sexual assault, child sexual abuse, adverse childhood experiences (ACEs), sexual harassment, rape within marriage/relationships, online or technology-facilitated abuse, physical abuse, financial abuse, coercive and controlling behaviour, emotional abuse, forced marriage, so-called honour-based violence, female genital mutilation, trafficking, sexual exploitation and ritual abuse.
We believe nobody should have to cope with rape, sexual or domestic abuse alone and we are here to help. We provide a safe, confidential, non-judgemental service regardless of gender, religion, ethnicity, sexuality or socio-economic background.
We will support any survivor regardless of when the abuse happened and whether they have reported it to the police or not. Within safeguarding limits, everything you tell us will be confidential. You can read our safeguarding policies here for more information.
We are an intersectionally feminist, women-led organisation, acknowledging the disproportionate impact of rape, sexual and domestic abuse on women and girls. However, our feminist and empowering approach enables survivors of all ages and genders to improve their wellbeing and live fulfilling lives. Our aim is to always deliver a wide range of holistic support to meet an individual’s needs according to their choices.
All our services are free to access and are provided by highly qualified staff and volunteers who receive our robust, specialist training to support individuals who have experienced rape, sexual and domestic abuse. We operate a diverse workforce of staff and volunteers from a range of backgrounds to reflect the survivors we serve, including workers of all genders, LGBT+ identities and ethnicities.Â
We offer specialist support to children and young people (aged 5 – 18) as we recognise the importance of specialist care at the earliest opportunity to help children and young people to begin to heal and regain control over their lives.
We recognise the significant impact of rape, sexual and domestic abuse on minoritised groups and offer specialist tailored support to ensure all survivors can access the support they need. You can find out more on our Equity, Diversity and Inclusion page or Contact Us if you need some help accessing our services.Â
We are a victim/survivor focused organisation and as such we do not offer support around perpetration of abuse.
We know how important it is for survivors and their loved ones to access professional trauma-informed support. We hold membership with;
- Rape Crisis England and Wales and hold their National Service Standards
- The Survivors Trust and hold their National Service Standards
- Male Survivors Partnership
- British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy and follow their ethical guidelines.
Our Commitment To You
We provide a safe place for you to be able to talk confidentially to one of our specialist team. Our services are free and non-judgemental, and we will listen, believe and support you, recognise you as an individual and treat you with respect and sensitivity.
