At SAASSBMK, we know how important it is for survivors and their loved ones to access professional trauma-informed support.

Survivors need assurance that the people they turn to for support are sufficiently trained and can understand their experiences and trauma in ways that many other services are not able to.

We’re proud to be the only accredited specialist provider of services to survivors of sexual assault and abuse in Buckinghamshire and Milton Keynes. Our staff and volunteers receive in-depth specialist training and supervision to ensure the support they deliver is high quality.

We hold the National Service Standards for Rape Crisis England and Wales and The Survivors Trust. We go to great lengths to ensure our services meet these standards, where the external membership bodies thoroughly review our governance, policies, procedures, facilities and staff and volunteers to ensure they meet best practice.

We are also members of the Male Survivors Partnership and British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy and abide by their ethical framework.

In recognition of our efforts to provide survivors with the highest quality support available, we have been awarded;

• The High Sheriff of Buckinghamshire’s Award 2022
• The King’s Award for Voluntary Service 2023 (an equivalent to an MBE for voluntary groups)
