Support for Trans, Non-Binary and Intersex Individuals
If you are looking for support for trans, non-binary and intersex individuals under 16, check out our support offers for children and young people here.
Our Adults services provide specialist support for everyone over 16 who have experienced any form of rape, sexual abuse or domestic abuse, regardless of when this happened in your life or whether you have reported it or not.
This includes:
- Up to 24 sessions of 1:1 counselling
- Independent Domestic and Sexual Violence Advocacy
- Group therapy
- Stabilisation Intervention Programme (psychoeducation)
- Emotional telephone support
- Advocacy (speaking up for you)
We know that trans, non-binary and intersex people who have experienced sexual assault, domestic violence or abuse can find it difficult to talk about what has happened.
All services at SAASSBMK are offered to anyone affected by sexual assault and domestic abuse, regardless of their sex, gender and/or the way they identify.
Check out Our Services for more information about these services.
During your Information, Advice and Guidance session you will receive more information about our services, and we encourage you to let us know if there is anything we can do to make you feel more comfortable accessing our support.
You do not need to have reported anything to the police to speak with us and, within safeguarding limits, everything you tell us will be confidential. You won’t be asked to talk to us about anything you don’t feel ready to share.
The initial contact may be from a female member of staff but we have specialist workers of all genders including counsellors, group therapists and advocacy workers. We also have workers who specialise in supporting the LGBT+ community. You can request support from a person of any sex or gender that feels most comfortable to you.

We would like to thank Buckinghamshire Council’s New Burdens Funding Scheme for their vital support and funding that enables us to support our LGBTQI+ survivors of Domestic Abuse and Sexual Violence.
