Stabilisation Intervention Programme
Our Stabilisation Intervention Programme offers a safe space where survivors can explore the impact of sexual violence on their life and learn how to cope with the emotional and physical effects of trauma through psychoeducation.
What is the Stabilisation Intervention Programme
The aim of these this the Stabilisation Intervention Programme (SIP) is to understand how your body and mind have responded to trauma, to help identify and develop your own coping strategies, and to share resources and information to better manage your trauma symptoms.
SIP is designed to help with the immediate affects of trauma. SIP includes 6 x 50-minute sessions either online or face to face with a specialist, trauma informed counsellor and will cover:
- Impact of Trauma on the Brain
- Emotional Regulation

Survivors Voices
“The support I have received is invaluable and incomparable to any other help I've ever received in my life. The 6-week SIP Programme was valuable, beyond my estimation and far exceeded all my expectations. My counsellor’s insight, support and understanding were second to none and the Programme taught me so much. I feel extremely fortunate to have had 24 counselling sessions, the support was immeasurable. My counsellor has helped me through more than I thought.”
