We offer up to 24 free therapeutic counselling sessions to anyone aged 16 years or older, regardless of gender, who has experienced any form of rape or sexual violence at any time in their lives, or who is supporting a survivor. Our specialist volunteer counsellors have completed rigorous training in working with survivors of sexual assault, abuse and trauma.

Daytime and evening sessions are available Monday to Friday, and are currently delivered either face to face, online or by telephone.

You can refer yourself to our counselling service. Individuals and organisations can refer someone else to us as long as they have given permission for you to do so.

What to Expect From Counselling

It takes a lot of courage to come to counselling and we understand that it is not always easy to talk about thoughts and feelings. Your counsellor will never judge you, and will provide a safe space for you to explore your thoughts and feelings to try to make sense of what has happened to you and gain a clearer understanding of yourself. You are the expert on your experience, and the focus of these sessions will always be on what you choose to bring. You don’t have to talk about anything that you’re not ready to talk about.
